As you've seen in the news, the Ebola virus is something that Healthcare in North America has to be prepared for. Alberta Health Services is vast in size and Transportation services is integral in providing patient care.

Our Calgary Warehouse has supplies that are required for our staff to safely triage and care for patients. A requirement for delivery today from the Calgary Warehouse to locations in High River, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat was passed to me at about 14:00 this afternoon.

I called West Direct at about 14:15 and spoke with Maria I believe was her name. I'd shared the requirement for a 5 ton truck with same day, out of the city, after hours delivery to 3 different cities. She took all the info and in about 60-90 seconds, I had the 3 job numbers she'd entered. I'd also asked her to give me a call back with an eta of arrival at the Warehouse of the truck. She called back in about 10 minutes and informed us the truck would be there in about 10 minutes.

Five minutes after her call back, the truck arrived and Keith was the driver. He loaded the 3 skids of stock and gave me his cell #. I'd asked for it as he arrived before I'd been able to finalize the contact #'s at the 3 delivery sites yet. He pulled out at about 15:00. I was able to text the contact #'s at about 15:30 to him so he could call when he was 10 minutes away. He made sure he replied that he got the message. I'd passed his cell# to the 3 people responsible for receipt of the deliveries. I know for sure he'd been in contact with the Medicine Hat person and worked something out with timing of when he'd call as he got close.

 Can you pass a Thank You to Maria and Keith from me. From my call to West Direct till the goods left was about 45 minutes which is not good service, it's Great service. They made my job much easier with how quickly our request was handled and that had a ripple affect on numerous other people and patient care areas at the delivery sites as well.


Just wanted to pass along my most sincere thanks this afternoon to driver (biker) 880 on his can-do attitude for the delivery to Faas Architecture on Job 7494290.  I was absolutely horrified when I verified the address while he was here to find the destination was just slightly out of the core, but he was willing to bike it there!  Not only that, but I’m very grateful for the on-time delivery too!Can you please pass this onto him and his supervisor for a job well done from an extremely happy customer!
